X-Factor Info

This years X-factor has certainly been a strange one. There has been random, awful acts at the auditions but yet very talented ones. There’s been tears with laughter and tears of joy.

First of the final twelve to leave were Kandy Rain. They had a dodgy start to the competition as it came out all over the news papers that they were previously lap dancers/ strippers. They fought against the papers and wanted to forget there past and concentrate on their singing career. On the first stage performance they were brilliant but yet again the tabloids went crazy as they were dressed like strippers. Kandy Rain are known for their dancing and not there singing talent.

Rikki Loney, was sadly the next to be voted out. After attempting X-factor in 2008 he came back fighting. He performed great at his auditions and sailed through to boot camp where he made it to the final 12. His first was excellent but all was to end on the 2nd week of the competition. He got negative comments from Simon after singing ‘ Respect’ and was voted out of the competition.

Next to leave was Miss Frank who at first originally auditioned as 3 solo artists but got put together as a group and they too sailed through to boot camp and two round’s of the live performances. The third week was their best week but the public didn’t seem to think so and they were kicked out of the competition. Overall they made a good band together and they shouldn’t have gone so early in the competition.

Then there was Rachel Adedeji. After a brilliant audition she was put through to boot camp then made it to the final 12. On her first two live performance weeks she didn’t do too good and lacked in personality, but all changed in week 3 when she seemed to come alive. Although she was in the bottom two twice, she still kept a smile on her face and carried on fighting. Rachels competition ended in week four, which was a brilliant performance but this didn’t seem to wow the judges enough and she fell into the bottom two again. Her survival song didn’t do enough for her and Rachels X factor competition ended.

Next was Lucie Jones. She wowed the judges in the auditions and went through to round five. Even though she kept being voted through, she didn’t leave a good lasting impression on the judging panel or the voting public. This led to the infamous decision by Simon which could of saved her and sent John & Edward home but then decided to leave it up to the public. Unexpectedly this didn’t go in her favour and home she went.

Jamie Archer, the man with the afro wowed the audience, public and judges at his first audition. His vocal talent was met with standing ovations and cleared the first five weeks. But all came to an end as he was left in the bottom two with John and Edward and yet again it went to the public vote and sadly lost against the Jedward twins.

Week seven, it was finally time for the Jedward twins to leave the contest. We don’t quite know how they got through the auditions but they did and then carried on to succeed all the way to week seven somehow. Every week they had boo’s and cheers, positive and negative comments but they were very entertaining keeping everyone laughing or cringing at home. Many people were sad to see them go but this is a vocal competition not a personality competition.

Gorgeous Lloyd won the hearts of many young girls sailing through the auditions and competition probably more to do with his looks than vocal talent, he got no end of critiques from the judges but yet people still kept voting. Sadly all this came to an end in week eight. Everyone knew it was his time to go as he wasn’t the most powerful singer on   X-factor but he certainly had the looks.

The weeks flew by and the semi-final soon arrived. This was a very tough one for the judges and the public. Each contestant performed brilliantly but regrettably it was Danyl Johnson’s time to go. His last performance was excellent and he surely has a singing career in his back pocket. I don’t think it will be the last we see of him.

Olly Murs, Stacey Soloman and Joe Mceldery are the final three. Each are excellent vocalists in their own way and this will be a very tough call for the public to make. One person stands out to us all 'Little Joe', he has the looks & the personality and has a great chance of winning. Every week he has had good comments and is cheered every week by the audience. He has not once been in the bottom two.
We wish them all good luck and lets see who wins.
Come on Joe!!!
